Not only are the women of NC Delta passionate about all things Pi Phi, but they are passionate and involved in a wide range of on-campus activities! From intramural sports to professional fraternities, our chapter members do it all.
Members of the NC Delta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi are involved in over 60 different on-campus student organizations. To highlight a few, our chapter is home to NC State University Park Scholars, exceptional students who attend four years at NC State expense free. Many women are also involved in academic fraternities such as AKPSi, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society, Order of Omega and Lambda Pi Eta.
While all of our members excel in the classroom, there are some who excel both in class and on the court. Many women are involved in sports activities like the Club Volleyball Team, Club Swimming, Wolfpack Majorettes, Club Gymnastics, and the Clogging Team. A favorite throughout the chapter, Pi Phi intramurals are fun for everyone, regardless of skill level.
Collectively, the NC Delta Chapter participates in many on-campus activities together, too. For the past five years, we have participated in Dance Marathon, an event that seeks to raise money for Duke's Childrens Hospital. In 2016, our chapter won the spirit cup at Dance Marathon for being the team with the most spirit points and largest fundraising team. Other events like Shackathon, where our chapter teams up with a Fraternity and builds a house in the brick yard, raises money for Habitat For Humanity. During this event, atleast 2 members from both NC Delta and the respecitive Fraternity must be in the shack 24 hours each day for 5 days. These events and many others are a great way to raise money and awareness for meaningful causes.
